Watering Ban Restriction Lifted

For the last few years, Georgia was in a serious drought, however the rains of summer and winter filled up our lakes and rivers.  As such, Cobb County has lifted the outdoor watering ban.  The current watering schedule can be found on Cobb County’s Water System website, located here.

As of 24 April 2010: All outdoor watering is now permitted as defined by the non-drought odd/even schedule. Even and Unnumbered addresses may water anytime on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Odd addresses may water anytime on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Burning Ban Information

Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services reminds residents that permissible open burning is through April 30th. This means that limited yard debris (leaves, pine straw and fallen dead limbs) may be burned from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

No outdoor burning is permitted May 1st through September 30th.   For the full 6 page Cobb County Outdoor Burning regulations click here.  This document describes what is allowed to be burned and the required safety measures you must follow.

If you have any further questions regarding outdoor burning, please call the Environmental Protection Division at 404-363-7000 or 404-362-2671.  You may also find information on the Cobb County Fire Department website.
